Just wanted to give a weather related update for the Residents in Oklahoma County areas or OKC Metro. This year the NWS and Oklahoma county officials have adopted a new tornado siren policy and system. If you hear a tornado siren in presence of severe weather please seek shelter or information immediately. Sirens will now be sounded for all areas inside the Tornado Warning polygon (As seen below) instead of the old way of sounding city wide. Do not wait or go outside to view a severe or tornado warned system if alarm sounds. That is a safety measure to warn you to seek personal safety. Let the trained staff and meteorologists handle the viewing and ground information. Have a great weekend and be always weather ready!! – #OSCJonM 🙂 via Oklahoma Storm Chasers https://on.fb.me/1VYrbGK
